These trousers are inspired by an Austrian straw hat, circa 1930s. The hat brim was embroidered with this twining wildflower-and-vine pattern, which we have reproduced along the side seams and pockets of these black velvet trousers. The embroidery is worked in colorful yarn and metallic bullion braid, with silver sequins studded throughout.
